Search Web

Enable real-time web search capabilities when processing your captures, allowing USave to gather up-to-date information from the internet.

What Does This Setting Do?

When enabled, USave will search the web to enhance your captures with real-time information. This is particularly useful for:

  • Looking up current facts, statistics, or news
  • Finding additional context about a topic
  • Verifying information or getting latest updates
  • Enriching your notes with external references

How to Configure

  1. Open the USave app and navigate to the Setup tab.
  2. Find the Search Web toggle.
  3. Enable or disable based on your needs:
    • Enabled: AI can search the web for relevant information
    • Disabled: Content is processed without web search

With Search Web enabled, USave will find and summarize recent articles and updates.

USave will search for up-to-date statistics and analysis.

Get explanations enriched with current real-world applications.

When to Enable

✅ Enable When:

  • • You need current, real-time information
  • • Researching topics that change frequently
  • • Gathering comprehensive information on a subject
  • • You want sources and references included

❌ Disable When:

  • • Capturing personal notes or thoughts
  • • Processing content you already have
  • • You want faster processing times
  • • Working with private or internal information

Important Notes

  • Processing Time: Enabling web search will increase processing time as USave searches and analyzes results.
  • Data Usage: Web searches consume additional data and API credits.
  • Privacy: Your search queries are sent to the web search provider (not stored long-term).
